Sparking creativity through play

Little Clay Clubhouse creates playful foam clay kits designed to make creativity accessible to everyone. With a particular focus on children and adults who may face barriers to traditional creative activities, the brand is built around the idea that making can be a source of joy, self-expression and connection.

I created a joyful, character-filled identity that captures the fun of getting stuck into something creative while giving the brand a warm and welcoming world of its own. Playful illustration brings that world to life, helping Little Clay Clubhouse celebrate creativity without rules or pressure and invite everyone to come along and make something.

Creativity for everyone

At the heart of Little Clay Clubhouse is a simple belief that creativity should feel open to everyone. The foam clay kits offer an accessible way to make, play and experiment, with a particular focus on creating positive experiences for children and adults who may face barriers to traditional creative activities.

That idea became an important foundation for the identity. Rather than focusing solely on the product itself, I wanted the brand to capture the feeling that comes from making something with your own hands. It needed to feel encouraging and full of possibility, creating a space where there is no pressure to get things right and everyone is invited to join in.

Kind words from the client

  • Working with Emma at Dainty Forest has been one of the absolute highlights of building my business. From the very beginning, she has been more than a designer, she’s been a creative partner, a sounding board, and a constant supporter of my vision. Emma built my entire brand identity from the ground up, turning scattered ideas into something clear, meaningful and visually beautiful. She has a rare gift for creating work that feels truly aligned with your values. I now have a brand I feel proud to share every single day. If you're looking for someone who truly listens and brings your ideas to life with care and creativity, I couldn’t recommend Emma more.

Building the brand

The visual identity brings that spirit to life through playful typography, expressive colour and a cast of hand-drawn characters and illustrations. Each element was created to make the Little Clay Clubhouse world feel friendly and imaginative, giving the brand plenty of personality while keeping it approachable for a wide range of ages and abilities.

Illustration plays an important role in creating that sense of belonging. Rather than sitting alongside the identity as decoration, the characters and smaller illustrated details help communicate the warmth and playfulness behind the brand, giving Little Clay Clubhouse a visual language it can continue to build on as its community grows.
